(Hoogeveen/Steenwijk, 2001-2009)

When Martheun Poolman aka Bolle † (Point Of Few, Gilgamesh, Gascoigne, Darkwaterscam) worked in the Het Podium youth center in Hoogeveen as programmer, he decided to start the Trashfest festival. Together with his bandmates of Point Of Few (Rik, Jop and Marco), they organised the first Trashfest. This was not an annual fest and all was done on a DIY base with volunteers. When Martheun became programmer for the De Buze youth center in Steenwijk (less than 50 km from Hoogeveen), he moved Trashfest with him. Since he had the possibility of a second stage (an outdoor stage borrowed from the yearly Stonehenge metal festival), the fest became bigger. Unfortunately the municipal and neighbors plus surrounding were not very forthcoming and because of troubles with a permit, Trashfest 15 was cancelled last minute. Needless to say, this was the end of the festival.
