(Goeree-Overflakkee, 2023-now)

Meaning Bandname: The name ‘Slampampers’ [weaklings] Ap had been thinking of for 30+ years was already taken by a jazz-blues streetmusic band. He decided to change the name to Slempempers meaning ‘slamming babies’. The plan was to perform in diapers (Pampers), but later only Ap would do that.

Bio: After recording a couple of songs and making ‘videoclips’ the band got a lot of negative press for their songs and accompanying actions against the plan to build a McDonalds franchise on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee. This line-up only performed one song of 19 seconds ‘Hou je bek!’ at the local youthcenter. Afterwards only singer Ap Neu was left as the other three left the band. Pedje was recruited as guitarplayer and Die Zeeuw on bass. They tried out various drummers but none of them got the gig. Die Zeeuw left at the end of 2025. In 2026 Lauwe Pappi joined on drums and they rehearsed with Ap singing and playing bass. Later Pinda Papi joined but left the band after the first gig thus leaving Slempempers as a three piece.
Slempempers only have lyrics in Dutch and play their gigs at a maximum of 30 minutes with two covers (either by Outlawz, Belgian Asociality, The Etters, Frites Modern, BGK or Pléémobielz to name a few). One gig started with Ap Neu and Lauwe Pappi boxing eachother. Others include throwing beer, ketchup and chocomel in the audience or Ap Neu threw it over himself. Also rolling in soil on stage. Slempempers give away free buttons, stickers and textsheets at each concert and encourage people to bring their own (old) t-shirts to turn into Slempemper shirts using spraypaint and stencils the band provide.
Ap Neu also writes for the Goortig fanzine.
