(Rotterdam/Sassenheim/Amsterdam/Gouda/Katwijk, 2001-2010)

Meaning Bandname: Keur-Korps came up with the name, ofcourse being a merger of footballclub Feyenoord and ‘Oi’ music.

Bio: The band was started when Pint posted on the Feyenoord messageboard that it would be great to have a Feyenoord themed oi/punk band like Cockney Rejects, Vanilla Muffins and others. Suicidal and Keur-Korps responded. The first guitarplayer took a trainride from Leeuwarden, about three and a half hours to Rotterdam, to be told after a couple of songs he wasn’t good enough. Banz-OI! joined after Suicidal asked him, ofcourse all involved were staunch Feyenoord supporters.
The band rehearsed in Waterfront, Rotterdam. It was mostly covers from well-known oi/punk bands like Exploited, Cock Sparrer, The Blitz and Sham 69 with lyrics written by Foienoord about football, hooliganism and corrupt officials. Own songs were added later.
Singer Suicidal was ditched when he showed at the studio for recording of the second album without a voice. He had a wild party the night before. A tour through Japan in 2009 was canceled when Banz-Oi accepted a job in Ireland.
Biggest achievement? Our punk version of the Feyenoord club anthem ‘Hand in Hand’ being layed in the stadium a couple of times before European Cup matches.
