Bio: The band was formed in April 1982 and was first called Last Warning. Peter was the brains of the band and wrote the lyrics. They were representations of certain feelings and were not necessarily politically tinged. A good description of the early period is “Depressive Hardcore”. He also started a distribution of punk releases and tapes with demo’s, rehearsals and live recordings. From May 1982 until 1984 they released good sounding rehearsal tapes. On the split tape with Gepøpel is also the pre-Funeral Oration band Last Warning. The first gig was in October 1983 but the band did very few concerts in this period. Peter created a bond between punk and horror and had later his own label/distribution called Horror Relations (where he sold videos, posters, photo’s and zines) plus a fanzine with the same name. In 1987 he changed the fanzine name in Savage Cinema. He also started writing about horror movies in Nieuwe Koekrand (the most popular punk fanzine at the time) in 1985. After guitarplayer Thomas left, the sound got more accessible, maybe even poppier/mainstream and very much less raw and aggressive. In 1986 they didn’t do many concerts. Frank, cousin of bassplayer Wil, became their manager. In 1995 they signed with Hopeless Records and they did three successive tours through the USA in 1996, 1997 and 1998. Drummer Barend van der Meer (Frites Modern, Smartbomb) replaced Erik Jansen on their first USA tour (29 concerts). Erik was touring with his other band Yawp! in Australia. Menno Bakker (Bunt’s Studio) and Jevin de Groot sometimes replaced Vincent on guitar for concerts in 1998.
