(Amsterdam, 1979 – 1980)

Bio:
Started as Squad in August 1979 with members of V.D. Patients. When the drummer, vocalist and guitarist were replaced, the name changed into City Squad. Also because there were more bands with the name Squad. They played a mix of new wave and reggae. Had a rehearsal place in Huize Chaos, a squat where also The Bugs and Infexion practised. They play own songs and lyrics about people and their experiences are written by Karla. Have their first concert around March 1980. Fred got shot in the centre of Amsterdam. When their drummer didn’t show up at the Paradiso concert, the band broke up.
