History:
Welvaartsstaat is an initiative of Peter Luining (aka Slonz) and Chris Smit (The Chops). The label releases mostly limited tapes of own bands in the early 80’s. After other bands ask for release, they put out two compilation tapes that give a good view of the alternative scene from that moment. In 1982 Peter starts working with Nanno Van Delden on the Blok 5 fanzine. After the Nieuws Uit Nergensoord tape, Peter Luining moves to Amsterdam and all releases after this were never made (“punk meets situationist theory”).
