(1977 – 1982)

Bio: Wim and Jaap start the band in 1977. They do their first gig in Ter Apel. The 30 second song “Poor Punk” is played throughout the years as an ode to the band. In 1979 they get schooled musicians and more or less leave their punkperiod and start to play new wave. They rehearse in the ORKZ like many bands. After a rigorous lineup change, they name themselves The Dear Johns.
