Meaning Bandname: The name was invented by Dennis. The idea behind it is that you always wear a sort of metaphorical muzzle that tries to keep you quiet, but that you can just bark right through it if you really want to.

Bio: The band was formed on guitarist Mark’s birthday in December 2025 after we started writing the song “‘t Volk drinkt Klok” quite drunk. We thought it was funny and decided to try to make something of it. When we finally found the time for a first rehearsal 3 months later, we had made something cool and wanted to make more. The lyrics are written by Dennis and mainly deal with societal issues created by people. This ranges from slum landlords to men who can’t keep their hands to themselves, and from the monarchy to narcissism. We usually rehearse at the Viadukt in Groningen, but if that is full, we sometimes move to VRIJDAG in the Akkerstraat. Maulkorb mainly plays original songs, and 1 or 2 covers in every set. The covers are FA by the German band Team Scheisse and Crime by the Groningen band Rat Patrol. On 8 June 2026 start the recordings for a full-length.
