Got up at 7.00 am and start driving at around 10.00 am. We arrive in a carpacked Paris around 20.00 and start looking for the gigship but end up on the wrong quay coz we hear punknoise from the other side. Once on the boat I’m impressed coz it’s a great looking place. This is the last day of a 2 day fest. We hear we will play last but there’s 3 more bands to go. It’s a good mix of punk, hardcore and melodic bands. The food is cold sticky rice in a plastic cup but the beer is reassuring and we meet plenty of old friends to forget our appetite. The weather is mild so we sit most of the time on deck, overlooking the Seine and its plenty passing boats. When it’s our turn, we’ll tear through our set coz tiredness is striking until we see some of the crowd going pretty wild. That was a nice and satisfying first night! We load the stuff in the van and get guided to a local and cool looking squat where we will stay for some rest. Sleepingplace is in the cellar and during the night there is major uproar upstairs but noone feels like checking.
