(Amsterdam, 1980 – 1984)

Bio: Alex and René, childhoodfriends from the Oosterparkwijk in Amsterdam, form the band in 1980 because Alex can play the piano and René can play electric guitar. Danielle, the sister of Alex starts to sing. Wilco lives in the neighbourhood and has a guitar and a distortion so he is asked to join as well. The band practises weekly at Het Kasteeltje on the Weesperzijde. In march 1981 is the first concert in Wilco’s room which is 4 mtrs by 3 mtrs. The first gig review is published in De Waarheid, a national newspaper. In June 1981 the first demo is recorded and gets the band concerts. In October 1981, Joke replaces Danielle. Management is now done by the girlfriend of Alex, Lucia. When Vincent/Squelettes sees them on a party, they get contact in the Paradiso venue. Between 5 April and 8 April 1982 they record songs for the ‘Als Je Haar Maar Goed Zit’ LP. Joke leaves the band at the end of 1982 and the band becomes a three piece. Two years after Bagarre, they reunite for about 15 concerts.
