Shikari, Seein’Red, Poundaflesh @ Indian Queen, Boston UK 28 April 2002

When we entered the place, there were sitting two blokes at the bar who looked totally out of place. It appeared they were from the copyright agency to check if the bands were playing any covers… Well, exclusively for this tour we were doing UK 82 from the Exploited and Seein’Red were doing Anarchy In The UK by the Sex Pistols. After 6 Seein’Red songs, they escaped the place and we celebrated by playing very cheerfully our covers.

“They asked who was in charge and I said I am sort of. They asked for set lists and I told them the bands were singing in Dutch – I’ve no idea if they were – so asked Michael and Jos to write them out in Dutch. I think after the first few bands they realised that even if there was a cover version they’d never have any idea what it was! Sad really as they missed a great gig leaving early!” Marv Gadgie
