(Voorschoten, 1978 – 1980)
Bio: The band has 17 own songs and covers from Devo (‘Mongoloid’), Stooges (‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’) and Undertones (‘Teenage Kicks’). Hugo changes from drums to 2nd guitar and Dick is added as a drummer. All concerts are done with this line-up. Practise in the KWJ building in Leiden where there were lots of punx during rehearsals. The building used to be a maritime school and was now a squat where they have alot of parties with gigs. Camille worked in the AH (a big supermarket chain) and the band played at a staff party which caused quite a shock. They were support act of The Nits and obviously the crowd came for them. Run Mascara played their set 2 times until the power was cut off. Dick keeps on drumming resulting in more trouble. The ‘Boycot Shell’ concert was recorded and the gig on the Vlietland College (a school that Camille and Hugo and probably Peter attended) was also memorable. Camille wrote a very hard song about an unpopular mathematics teacher in which he got finished to the bone. He stood in front listening. The band splits up before the summer of 1980.
