(Amsterdam, 1979–1983)

Bio:
Götterflies was formed after the summer of 1979 by Michiel. At the end of 1980, Kim left and Eimerd took over the drums. Astrid joined on vocals (plus syndrum which was a novelty and produced very weird sounds) and wrote most of the English language lyrics. Rehearsed with The Nitwitz in the Wielingen squat. On a concert in that squat they recorded the Wielingen Walgt 12” in March 1981. Peter Pontiac, a well-known Dutch cartoonist, made the cover. The record is a protest against the eviction of the Wielingen squat. They had a break in the summer of 1981. Eventually they got a new singer and added a saxophone which changed the style.
