Review:
The former singer of Rondos wrote a book. This is a fantastic read if you want to know more about one of the most influential bands in the history of Dutch punk. We read about the writers’ history in Rotterdam until 1980. That’s 200 pages. The next 357 pages is his view on avant-garde. To be honest, I skipped this part to be read for some other time. I continued on page 557 where we go on with the year 1980. He writes until Rondos end themselves. Writer Johannes dismiss their communism as a joke. It was a way to provocate the anarchist punx and society. He already mentioned this in the booklet with the “Black And White Statement” release in 2009. Still, their DIY ethics are legendary!
